Hi there:

Hope posted in the right area (?) Have this 1975 Grey Cup Token from Calgary, Alberta. Any other info on it? Is this where we post tokens, provincial ones, or other types of things? Thanks

You have a Canadian Municipal Trade dollar. They were produced to raise money for a town, and some of them circulated. They expired after a certain point in time, yours says December 31, 1975.

As far as value, a lot of these go for $1 - $5, depending on buyer (I pay a dollar or less for mine at my coin shop). There are some rarer low mintage or desirable ones that go for much more. There is a catalog for these but I do not own it so I can't tell you if you have a rarer one or not.

Issued by the city of Calgary, there were 100,000 minted in nickel, 450 in silver, and 50 in gold. Catalog number AL73 - catalog value of $2.
