When I'm down at my LCS I like to look through their 25ΒΆ a piece pre 1981 canadian nickels to cherry pick and was wondering in jeneral if 25ΒΆ each for pre 1981 canadian nickels is a good deal. I can't complain cause I don't buy much from that bin and when I do its cherry picked, just curious lol Feel free to call me Will.

Five times face seems a bit steep but if you are cherry picking, that should be OK. Are you just picking them up for the fun of it or are you trying to make a set?
The lower denomination Canadian coins are always interesting to me. I decided to work on my Canadian Small Cents, I figure it's a finite series (1920-2012, 104 with all mint marks and no varieties as far as I can tell) and even the oldest will hopefully not set me back too much. I have one from 1929 then from 1940 on I've got some gaps but 1954-2001 I'm only missing two dates. Those are all from pocket change and CRH, even the '29.

Well, since you don't want to worry about varieties........don't forger about the hanging last digits of 1953-1964 which can appear from single clash to quadruple clashes

Quite sure you were misinformed. To my knowledge there are no 2000p cents.

Charlton's has 8 "Certified" 2000P cents as testing patterns for the vending industry.

I almost jumped for joy today... found a 1995 Canadian in a penny roll It's a hole filler! Really love the fact that I got more excited about it than the 2 Silver JFK's I got in ONE roll last month.

I have also heard that the 2000P cent is a myth, despite reports. (There *may* exist incorrectly labelled slabs containing a regular 2000 or perhaps a 1999P.)
ASLAN: Glad you're having fun finding our coins! I do the same with American, and even other foreign coins. I remember I was so excited to hole-fill a simple 2011 Great Britain 1p coin from a Canadian cent roll!

Dollarman: because of the ARP it's hard to find the older nickles but .25 a pop still sounds a bit steep for me... just my opinion though...
Aslan: it's unfortunate that we stopped issuing the penny just this past year... hope you fill out those holes but if you do ever have an issue with some non key dates send me a PM perhaps we could do a trade..
