I would like to get better information on Canadian coins, and see there is a Red Book. Does it contain basic grading like the Red Book for U. s. coins? Is it worth buying a copy, or should I get a newer North American Coins and Prices book to replace my 2011 copy? Thanks.

Yes the so called Red Book you are referring to is an excellent source for information on Canadian coins. It is an official Whitman Guidebook. Title is " A Guide Book of Canadian Coins and Tokens First Edition James A Haxby" . Available through Amazon.com or Whitman Publishing. Cheers, to you Henry!
