Unfortunately they are not recovered bars. They are modern bars made from the recovered silver. They will always be at least the value of silver.
Would have been nicer(more valuable) if they were genuinely recovered bars.

These are worth melt - NOT shipwreck silver unless the bars are original and show evidence of coral etc...

They're interesting but wouldn't pay more than spot plus maybe a $2-$3 premium.

Still, you never know. An interesting backstory/history , some silver art bars go for considerably more than their melt value. It's 80 year old silver, has a history and at $27/oz, people pay more for an ASE

like Denco says, it has some interesting history/background which will give it "some" prem to it, but thats about it. They are NOT bars recovered. They are more like mementos.
That said, I like them and I am not a silver/gold bar guy. They are unique and are a nice way to add flavor to one's collection of silver.
This, btw is not really "unique". Many ships were sunk that had silver. However, the "unique" part of this is recovered silver which does give it a leg up over say a regular bar of silver.
btw, I haven't looked but do these fluctuate with the price of silver? How are they priced by dealers?

I think these are neat with a cool backstory and like the picture of the ship on the back. Wouldn't mind getting one if I have the chance.

If you think about the history of precious metals a lot of it has a history. Who knows, the wedding band or grad ring you are wearing may have had it origins as Aztec / Egypt/ Kondike...........gold. WHen it comes to fine metals, the idea of recycling has been around a long time.

I have not gotten into shipwreck silver, but I would prefer coins to bars.
