Grading is still not my best area, but I'll take a stab at it.
For the 3 cent I'd say F-12, and MS-62 for the Morgan, though it looks dipped to me.

3 cent piece = F-15 details/cleaned
Not good at Morgans, so I will pass on that

I agree with Hambone on the 3C, maybe 63 on the Morgan - luster looks pretty good to me. I'm pretty new to grading, so don't take my word for it.

1874 3¢n I think is detail graded due to a cleaning probably F15? The reverse is much better though I'm not quite sure this one will reach a VF grade but it's really close. These are well known weakly struck coins.
The 1889 Morgan has a light circulation look so AU55. It has just a few too many little ticks on Liberty's face, I think, to reach an AU8 grade.

I say vf-20 details on the 3 cent nickel and ms-62 on the morgan... I'm no grading expert though so subscribed for the results.

My guess is F details-cleaned for the 3¢n as the wear areas appear darker than the protected areas. The Morgan appears to be AU55, it still has some luster but the tics appear to be circulation.

Can't blame you guys for being a little off. AU does look MS sometimes. Thanks for playing everyone!

Very nice the 3CN got a VF grade, wasn't surprised by the details grade though. Nice looking in spite of a details grade.

I didn't know the 3 Cent was cleaned. I'm thinking ANACS does a little work on the coins. My Morgan looks dipped. It didn't look that way before. But can just be me forgetting because I haven't seen it for over a month.

I know it Monday morning but my friend who graded for Mark when ngc was in parsipanny nj always said look at wing tips first. Then liberties bonnet the top from the s to the second you in unum. Then look at the coin he said if you look at chest feathers or the hair on above the ear first you are going to form an opinion that becomes hard to change. Now in this instance if you look at the wing tips I see what he means. Does that make sense if you see the left wing first does your approach change.

This is the 2nd time someone on this site has accused ANACS of this type of behavior. Has anyone actually been able to prove this?

My coin proves it. Regardless of what the color did parts of toning were removed that could only happen with something being applied to it. There is no question it was subjected to some sort of dip or wash the only question is just what it was. Ms 70 is my leading suspect right now
