Not trying to flame you Metalman but there are no instructions in that manual for ground balancing. Garretts don't have ground balancing either. They call their's Autotracking. I have a Pioneer 101 that I bought at a garage sale. It didn't work right and I contacted BH and they had me send it to them. I told them that I was not the original owner. They said it was still under warranty and fixed it without charging me a cent. Not too shabby in the world today.

automatic ground balance has been around for years on many different machines. I personally like manual ground balance.

Minelab and Tesoro come to mind for good auto ground balance machines.
