My latest batch of PCGS graded/attributed coins arrived today with the new holders. I just thought that I would share a couple quick images;

1892-O 25C Clashed Dies FS-901 PCGS AU55 (New Holder);

The reverse hologram is neat and they have individual serial numbers (news to me anyway), however they are not sequential.

Hows the clarity? At least from the pictures that does seem to have a crisper image

Side by side (with a two week old slab) I see no significant difference on the clarity. The "extra" dots are a different story.

They definitely added more security features than just the hologram. I wonder if if just photographs better, then again I may have just been looking at too many old beat up slabs lately

And...... in more PCGS holder news, what was old is new again.

Like NGC's retro black holders, PCGS in bringing back the Doily holders.

Maybe I'm just being picky but I don't really like the look of those new dots. I'm guessing they make it more difficult to crack out and put back together.

Its to make it harder to make a fake slab. You already cant crack them and put them back together
