I have another question for the forum community. I haven't been collecting very long, so I figure it couldn't hurt to get multiple opinions.

I'm offering a guy $150 for 100 dimes. He was asking 16.5 X face originally. He said he'll take the deal.

Thoughts?

150 is a fair price. Melt for dimes is like 1.44ish right now. So basically youre paying around a 5 or 6 dollar premium.

I've bought and found thousands of dimes, I also think that's fair.

It depends on the condition and series of dimes you're buying. Assuming they are standard 90% junk then 14.3X is the current multiple and that's $143 for 100 dimes. Never buy damaged, holed, or worn slick coins though.
