what an all original and problem free coin you picked up sir. I actually thought VG10 but I do not attempt to grade these that often as I have not handled a single bust quarter in my life, only the dimes and Half Dimes. I think the color and even appearance of the surface might even warrant a green bean.

jpbone, my example is in an Anacs slab.

Capped Bust quarters (and dimes) of the larger, open collar type are among my favorites. Your example is quite appealing, with a nice, even and original colour.

That is a real beaut. Just the type of natural age and color I like on a problem free 19th century coin. And it's a super rare variety, congrats.
