So it's a 1958 Canadian British Columbia Silver Dollar, that's the grading part.

The ID I was hoping for was the 2x2, I started collecting in the early 80's and have never seen a 2 part 2x2 flip. The staples have rusted but they are not in contact with the coin.

How old is the 2x2 (can't call it a flip), could it be as old or older then the coin?

that looks that it belongs to the late 70s I have to double check some coins that a friend of mine has still in the 2x2 left from his uncle..

The 2x2 could be as old or older than the coin. I saw an ad for these two-part square holed holders in something I was reading from the early fifties, said something to the effect that you'll never have to laquer or hide your coins in envelopes again.

I have three 1943 US steel pennies in one of those, purchased at a coin store around 1971-2. It looks exactly the same as yours.
In my experience, rusty staples can cause problems even if not in contact with the coin.
Coin looks MS63. Cameo?

Cameo is when the portrait is frosty compared with the background, like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/1958-Canada...em2c7c4ffd72

I'm no expert on long-term storage stuff, I've just observed darker spots on the rim of a couple coins that were in proximity to staples (but not touching). Could be coincidence. If I can find an example I'll post a photo. Obviously yours has been in that 2x2 a while without obvious consequences.

This is cameo I'm guessing, it's a 1973
New Zealand Cu-Ni Dollar

I really wouldn't say the 1958 BC dollar has a cameo finish, not like the NZ dollar

The BC coin is in good shape with great luster and has a good mirrored finish but not a stand-out cameo like the NZ.
