Attempting to promote Eisenhower interest & collecting.

After I open a bag,
get the silver, look for errors, BU, 1976 type 2, etc.

Then I like to get as much of the coins back into circulation.

Reason being is to stir up interest in ikes.
My coin collecting area is pretty much limited.

When you get 1 ike back in the hands of people, you never know who you will draw into the Ike dollar collecting family.

More people collecting modern day ikes is good for business.

he-he.

Whenever you spend those Eisenhower dollars, you need to report them here

I will ... when I have the time.

yesterday I was at 2 doctors appointments
gave 1 each to the Doctors,
1 to a staff member who was shown the coin .. and wanted one too!

1 to a nice helper with loading heavy groceries.
He really refused and refused ... until I showed him WHAT was in my hand
Eyes bugged out ... took the coin ... the worker on his right said...
=============> "I will give you 2 dollars for it." <===========

All coins were AU up to BU

My heart was full of joy.

Sounds like a good idea! I've always wanted to see people using Ikes!

Domain, I think jbuck mean reporting any of your Ike dollar spending on the following thread: https://goccf.com/t/115851&whichpage=171

This is the central thread where we track all Half and Dollar coins spending.

Well, if you have to time to post anything on CCF, you have the time.

This would be a good start, go post it there!

I am on the case.

I have to get rid of Ikes all the time,
in order to afford another bag to search through

Wife placed 30 ikes on the counter to top off her tank.

Clerk thought they were $5.00 coins.
Clerk was stacking, counting, looking.....

Wife smiles and informed him they were one dollar coins.
