Yellow as in painted on it? Or just very shiny from minimal wear? Some pictures would definitely be nice here.

Those just look like pennies that were made during a science experiment. It's a really common high school experiment to get copper pennies and coat them in zinc, then heat the surface with a bunsen burner so that the zinc bonds into the lattice structure of the copper which forms brass. The golden color is the color of brass.

The magnetic ones are 1943 zinc coated steel pennies made to replace copper during WWII. Definitely cool finds. The VDB is definitely worth a bit ( ebay should give you a pretty good idea of the value), but definitely check if it has the "S" under the date. Then we're talking some serious value (though the chance of counterfeits is much greater, too).

I don't know what shape it is in, but that is definitely a great find. Probably worth somewhere around $10 if it is circulated. Maybe more, maybe less, but around $10.
