I recently started getting into collecting coins and came across this 2000 P Maryland State Quarter. On the reverse it looks as if there's a partial penny mark and on the front there's something there but I cannot make it out. I also can find nothing online about this quarter. Can someone HELP!? Lol!

Thank you john1! But its not glue because it is indented and I have tried to pull/scrape it off with my fingernail.
Rest in Peace

Soak it in acetone. It will not hurt the coin. Let us know the results.

Need better pictures...they are blurry and the white balance is off...Do you have it in some kind of plastic container? If so take it out of the holder and take a few more pictures.

It's some kind of glue or resin. It might be a type that won't dissolve in acetone.

Not in a case or anything, but the picture looked better before I had to edit it to upload here...
