Do not confuse a weak strike with circulation. Look at the gown around the bust. The cheeks shows very little if any wear. Strong date. This can also be seen in the weakness of the LIB compared to the ITY. There is just a lot of indicators that we are looking at a weakly struck coin. This coin in my opinion is XF details.

sounds like high vf or low xf is detail consensus. One person says cleaned. Not sure if it has been cleaned or not?

I am seeing a XF40 coin with a couple of rim dings seen from the reverse that may lower the coin to VF. The strike is weak. Look at how high the rims are on the reverse. The hairline "details" on the reverse I think are really part of the planchete as struck. There does look to be some green an crud around the devises on the reverse (recommend an acetone bath and/or Verdicare) but other than that it looks like an original uncleaned attractive coin to me.

XF 40 maybe 45. This looks pretty similar to the one I have that graded XF 40.
Rest in Peace

I think this coin is solid XF too. Some mild verdigris on the reverse. Some verdi-care might help with that. I see some parallel scratches, but they looks more like light scratches than cleaning. The surfaces look dark and original....a bit too dark for my taste but overall it is a very nice coin and would look great in a 7070 album. :-)
