I like these too Coinaholic! Unusual, nice design ... atypical for the Mint these days, sadly ... The Smoky Mountains design is quite nice too, although I am prejudiced since I live only two hours away from the park and love to take the 11-mile Cades Cove Loop Drive in the spring (or summmer, or fall ... NOT in winter!) to see all the old cabins and the wildlife and to reflect on what seems to have been a simpler time (but probably wasn't really).

Best Regards,

George

Nice photos!! This one appears to be the bullion type 5oz since there is not mint mark, is that correct? I like the ATB designs as a whole better than most of the "State" quarter designs. Can't wait for more releases.

Yes it is the bullion version and it's very shiny, like an older proof coin, so very hard to get a good shot without glare!

I think the Mint is offering the 2014 pucks under the subscription program for $139 plus $5 shipping.

Makes more sense to get the collector version especially if silver prices continue to rise since the Mint won't raise the puck prices immediately like these secondary sellers react to spot prices.

The mint page for this says it had a 25,000 limit, but the production figures say 35,000. How many are actually made?
