Sap Moderator Australia 16817 Posts	Posted 02/16/2014 03:26 am Slim to none, I'm afraid. There isn't any point in wasting perfectly good silver on a coin that is as unconvincing as these. Modern counterfeiters only use silver for their highest-quality fakes, the ones where the numismatic premium would far outweigh the cost of the silver. A contemporary circulating counterfeit this crude might contain silver, as their profit would accrue from using diluted silver (say, .400 or .500 fine) or perhaps Sheffield Plate (fine silver wrapped around a copper core). But the provenance and style of these pieces indicate these are modern Chinese fakes.
