I have bought several things from one seller, all different auctions. Why does ebay only count the several feedbacks as one?

To keep a Seller from getting hammered by a single Buyer bent on either inflating the Feedback or destroying it.

It's one of the few ebay initiatives I actually appreciate. The additional benefit is, the seller's "total" Feedback count reflects the actual number so you can develop a feel for how much return business the seller gets, which can be a good indicator of their quality.

Okay, that makes sense. I just wish I could get more people to leave it.

Bassmaster. I used to give feed back as soon as I received payment but found only 1/3 would return the favour. I now leave feedback once it's left for me, then I know they are happy customers, and I find I'm up around 3/4 now.

Yep, I started only leaving it when they leave it for me also. I would also hate to leave a feedback like great buyer easy to deal with, and then them try to slam me for something dumb.
