I received my first negative feedback today.

Here is the story.

I readily admit I made an error and send the incorrect coin to the buyer. I send an e-mail to the buyer stating the following

"I believe I sent you the incorrect Faustina. When it arrives please check quickly and if you could ship it back regular mail it would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know the cost of shipping and I will reimburse you over paypal."

I do not hear from him for a week and receive this message

"I received a package from you containing 2 coins. One seems to be an ae as Faustina, the other I do not know except that it is smaller and the emperor has a crown. Please send me a prepaid envelope and my sestertius and I will send to you what you sent me in error. After all, you made the error, not me and I sent you the proper payment. Please respond timelt"

I respond within 20 minutes saying:

"I already sent the Sestertius so unfortunately I cannot add the prepaid envelope to the package. What I can do however is refund the purchase which should cover the cost of shipping back and then some. I apologize again for the mix up. I will send you the money as soon as possible(most likely later tonight). I am just away from my main computer at the moment and don't want to refund it on my phone."

I never heard a response from him and then received the negative feedback today after I had refunded the money. The coin I resent should arrive early next week.

So, I have two questions: How do I block this buyer permanently and is there a way to respond to the negative feedback to make a note for people looking at my account?

If this an ebay transaction you might be able to ask for a change in his feed back. Additionally you can post a rebuttal to his feed back. (Either positive or negitive).

I believe for sure you can block him from buying from you in the future.

Good luck.

Site list (or map cant remember which) block buyer list to block him.

The site list map thing will be at the bottom of the page in one of those links down there.

If you look at the feedback you can leave a small rebuttal too.

Thanks for the help. I don't mind the negative feedback it is more than the buyer doesn't respond to anything and when I try to make amends for a mistake leaves negative feedback.

I don't expect to see the coin I sent in error back. I am out a grand total of 8 bucks so it is not big loss.

It is more being frustrated with dealing with people than anything.

You qualify for feedback removal...the whole process takes around 5 minutes and is instant. Don't let something like this tarnish a good reputation. We all work too hard to lose it to issues like that!
