Since I've learned how to take decent pics I'm going through all the coins I've squirreled away and trying to catalogue it all. This is 40 plus years of accumulation. I agree that the shattered die allowed for a lot of weak areas in the strike. I still believe this to be a fence sitter between 15 & 20. A real beauty! Report this Post to the Staff

My O-103 also has a bad reverse strike. I agree with jpbone: the shattered die killed the strike detail. (Mine doesn't show the obverse die clash quite so well, though, but it's visible.)
