I was looking at some of my proof sets and saw something kind of funny. Can you see what is wrong with this picture?

The poor photo is not what I mean. I had a lot of trouble with reflections off the plastic holder.

The coins are fine but the holes for the dime and nickel are the wrong size.

Best Regards,

Yes, you guys easily saw what I did. I guess that if I had much better pictures of the coins themselves, the wrong labels would not have been noticed so easily.

Anyway, I guess I am the proud owner of the unique 1937 proof Winged Liberty nickel and Buffalo Dime in a Capitol Holder

Indeed, despite the holder malfunction the coins look very nice.
At least they are protected.

Thank you.

As far as this proof set goes, the nickel (the one with the Indian head labeled 10 cents ) is really nice with a great strike, no marks anywhere and no toning. The dime and quarter are also nice. I see no issues, other than a little toning, but they are not quite as striking as the nickel. The cent has some uneven toning and a spot, though luckily I have a spare 1937 proof cent. The half has some uneven toning on the obverse but good strike on lady liberty. The obverse seems to have used a very polished down die as the rays and some lower elements are disappearing into the fields. The reverse of the half is a little bit cameo and has a very very light purplish/pink toning.

I was actually thinking of suggesting to General Moe that a neat days-of thread would "proofs and patterns". This would probably be better as 1 day = 1 decade, like the gold was and run from the earliest up through the early 1940's or so. This would be a fun way to see some neat coins......
