I used to get a Kennedy half dollar for allowance every week and I kept a lot of them. Dad was a big Kennedy fan so that got it started. Today while looking at some recent KHDs I got to find that special one I found a 1990 KHD in which the 1 is missing, the IN is missing from IN GOD as well as the ST from TRUST, also the L from LIBERTY is missing or very faint as is the Y and the B and I are extremely fat.
On the Obverse side all is normal.
Anyone ever seen or heard of this before? I compared it to another 1990 I have and it is very different. Unless a person held it face up and rubbed the rim for a very long time I do not know how it would occur and I do not think that would fatten the B and I in LIBERTY. ?

Any feed back would be appreciated. Thanks.

I move this to the Variety and Error sub-forum. This is where most of the experts frequent, so this gives you a better shot at getting their feedback.

We need better pictures to be difinitive. Based on looking at the obverse I would have guessed a Grease Filled Die, but the reverse looks so horribly corroded or poor, I can't rule out it is a fake casting. Better images will help
