Hello All,

Long time since I had something worth posting. Found this guy today and something threw me off, first was the C in Canada that looks like the bottom half is missing. There is full luster an no indication that the coin was hit or banged the C inward because its not flattened out. second George's ear seems to be flat and filled. Its almost like a sheet of ice inside the ear, no depth at all.

Let me know what yall think!

Hi JeyRey

It looks like the portion of die forming the "C" was already filled in with some material before it struck this coin -- grease, or even some metal from a previous strike. The filled inner ear I've seen before in varying degrees -- possibly an over-poished die at that point? You see them on various years of the KGVI era. Nice find!
