May be he's looking at the wrong end of the "5", then again, I think the other end is rounded.

I emailed this seller about 10 hrs ago letting them know that the coin listed is a blunt 5 and not a pointed 5 and explained how to tell the difference from one another.
They emailed back with TY but never changed the listing, I'm sure they know the difference just a scammer

I was in contact with E bay today I sent an informative email about this E bay seller asking them how they can allow this seller to keep scamming buyers on their site with no penalty at all this shows very poor public relations and no protection to the buyers, it also shows poor business practice on your (E bay)part as if you don't care about the buyers as long as you get your part everything is OK.
This seller should be ban from E bay to protect your buyers and your business as an auction house. It is the talk of several coin chat sites and I'm very sure you are going to loose some very valuable customers (buyers) over it please do something about this seller.

I as well as others have contacted this seller and explained to them that the coin advertised is not a 1985 pointed 5 but a 1985 blunt 5 and a very common coin not a rare coin at all.
I even went as far as to explain how you tell the difference from one another, the sellers reply was TY. But they never corrected the advertised coin now the coin has 3 different buyers bidding on it and one being a new buyer with very low transactions and has probably no idea he or she are being ripped off by this seller and now E bay since you now know to that it is not a pointed 5.
I would hope that you do something about this steeling right away from the both of you. I left my E bay ID name and phone #

Funny as it may sound within 30 minutes E bay called me and we had a chat about this seller and their lack of doing anything to protect the buyers on E bay. They assured me that this seller will be dealt with and is on their watch list, we'll see what happens.

That's just sad, $$$`s is everything almost everyone ever wants these days and sellers like that one are willing to generate those $$$`s by ripping people off. Iv always thought that if there are aliens up there, they spend there happy hour looking down at us humans laughing.

i too had the same response of "TY" when I told him it was a blunt., so I replied back that he has done this in the past and was told its not pointed by many people but he continues to sell them so I told him he is being watched by many and if this coin sells it is fraud and I plan on following this up! I will see if/how he responds to that .
maybe if a few more of you message him about this coin and how we are watching him it may scare him a bit

I see the seller is in Scarborough, Ontario maybe if someone from the Scarborough area makes a phone call to the local Scarborough police station with a fraud charge it might change his ways, even if they don't charge him they will go check it out and it might scare them and it will go on record at the police station

It's to bad that we can't get ahold of the auction winners to inform them that they didn't get what they thought they bought.
Not so much to help them out because they should know what they bought but more so that these people can return the items and shut these bad sellers down.

I too have sent a Question to the seller asking if he can verify the pointed 5 . Flood his auction with questions , maybe that will slow him down.
