About a week ago, I thought I "lost maybe" 20+ in my post count.

I have been watching my count # closer since then.

I did loose 20+ again last night.

Did I do something to cause this?

Thoughts?

I am sure that one of the Mods will chime in, but to be subtle about it, post counts are reduced when the moderation team feels that people are posting "filler" with no intent to be helpful or informative. Not that this is your goal, but certain privileges are given when certain post counts are attained, such as the ability to PM other members and to sell and buy coins here. The "quality post rule" is to keep people (unscrupulous people) from padding their post count to 250, and then start spamming the site for retail sales.

Absolutely I will be taking advantage of the privilege (when and if ever earned). Keeping in mind that along with the "250" rule there is the 90 day rule. In May, I will earn this privilege. I hope.

I'm going to be blunt about this, in the hope that it's taken as the constructive criticism it's intended to be. You've established a pattern of making multiple posts in the same thread consecutively, one right after the other in a brief timespan. This can only be construed as an attempt to artificially raise postcount, as a reasonable person would present all their current input in one post. Any other explanation represents, at best, a breach of normal forum etiquette as every post bumps the words of another off of the first page of postings. This is why your postcount was reduced.

I am surely guilty of this breach.

Thank you for being blunt. This way I can learn.

I welcome your constructive criticism.

Will move my post(s) to random different post, to let other topics get to their earned top position.

Thanks again for your help.

This is something I can easily identify with, Domain555, being just about as scatterbrained as they come. It's important to collate one's thoughts before posting and present them in completeness at one time before moving on to the next topic. The things you say are not lacking in value, but we'd all benefit from a bit more cohesiveness.

Not needed ... just curious why/how they went a way.

I knew I was front loading .... guilty as sin.

The part I didn't understand was quickly posting (answering) 6-7 post to different other posters in the same (my) thread.

I have been given my lessons ... and will comply.

My goal is to become qualifid to buy-sell-trade.

When I earn the privileged.

There are no PM's here. Members can send you an email by clicking the appropriate link, but you have to have "Allow Forum Members to Send you E-Mail?" enabled in your profile. You currently have that set to No, the default value.

When I joined this site, I never gave it much thought on the number of posts, or use this site to sell anything.

Last February (2013) I may have gone overboard with two threads on error coins, the USA error coin thread has 157 different photos, and the World error coin thread has 242 photos, and this was for multi-struck errors, not including other error types I have.

What I posted in 2 threads could have been posted in 300 threads if I cared about my post count, instead, it was after posting these two threads I realize it was a HUGE mistake as it became overwhelming, and really should be broken down into smaller threads or deleted completely.

If the Mods agree, please delete both threads as I don't know how to break them down into smaller threads, all I wanted to do was to share the errors with other like minded members, and view their error coins..
