I only get coins in NGC or PCGS slabs because I do NGC Registry sets and those are the only coins that will score.

For me, I feel most comfortable with PCGS, NGC and ANACS. They have the best reputations and carry a premium over the other TPGs. Of the three I prefer the look of the PCGS slabs.

I prefer ICCS for Canadian coins, so I voted another.

Yes they are still around, and they still don't have a website or hard slabs.

I prefer my coins in PCGS holders, that said I usually buy them already slabbed, when I submit I almost always use ANACS. Go figure.

I voted other for ICCS as well for my canadian coins. For American coins, only NGC or PCGS.

PCGS has my vote. They seem to be the most consistent and accurate in grading, varieties not so much, that would swing towards ANACS. I have had too many NGC coins come back from PCGS downgraded on crossovers.

There is no room for emotion or personal preference in this space. PCGS coins plainly enjoy an advantage in the marketplace, so if resale is the goal they are the logical choice. Other goals might inspire different conclusions - all other factors aside, I'd trust only ANACS with a Morgan variety. The buyer demographic for such a coin won't care about the grade on the slab - they can grade for themselves - they want to know it's assuredly the variety stated and they know ANACS is a lock for getting the variety right.

So my "favorite" is situational, and an objective choice.

I voted for PCGS, but for me I rarely care about the "brand" of the slab. I agree with SsuperDdave that for resale PCGS is the best TPG. But I only buy the coin and not the slab. I have seen examples of PCGS graded coins that look like crap that sell for double what a ANACS coin in the same grade that is really high quality sold for. It is pretty much the same thing you encounter at the grocery store, people will pay big money for a box of Fruity Pebbles, but the local generic brand actually tastes better and is $2 bucks cheaper.

I'm too cheap for what I consider to be absurd membership fees and high grading costs. Now if I was dealing coins valued in four or five digit ranges regularly, I'd consider PCGS, but for now I'll stick with ANACS. I feel I can slab a $50 coin with ANACS, but at PCGS' prices, there is no room for a profit margin.

#1 PCGS, #2 NGC, #3 ANACS in that order.
