Hello, found this 1972 Lincoln Cent in the parking lot. I don't know if it is a DDO or what. Any help would be great! Thanks.

Interesting pick - would be a neat story about a penny worth picking off the ground. It doesn't look like the famous double die, but some kind of doubling looks to be present.

It's a doubled die--not sure which one, shame about the damage.

It is a DDO but not one of the biggies. In that condition it's nothing more then a hole filler. Nice find though.

I don't think it is 008.

Nice find

It's funny, I found a 1972 DDO in a roll just a couple of days ago.

I went on the Lincoln Cent Resource, and compared yours with the examples. I think it is die 6, as yours doesn't have much doubling on Liberty or the date.

I see doubling on Liberty and the Date. I think it's 008. I think you can barely make out the gouge above the last T in Trust. Too bad its so badly damaged. I wonder how many folks walked by that coin.
