So I made a purchase at Imaginaire.com so I could take part in their priveledge card program and hopefully save some money.
http://www.imaginaire.com/indexv2.j...sp&langue=enThe program looks fairly clearcut...collect 10% on all "Coins, with the exception of those emission price. Gold coins and bullion coins are not eligible.. Coin and paper money accessories are not eligible."
I bought for a total of $164.92 before tax and $15 shipping
1X 39.99 39.99 "2010 Special Edition Olympic Prooflike Set"
6X 14.99 89.94 "2010 Inukshuk Loonie Puck"
1X 14.99 14.99 "2013 Roll of Quarters - Arctic Expedition"
1X 20.00 20.00 "20 for 20 Goose"
From this purchase I was told I only received $4 in points. Wondering why, I emailed them to find out why it was only $4. I understand not receiving it for the $20for$20 as it is technically bullion.
So I got an email back:
Quote:
Hello,
The $20 for $20 are at face value so don't get on the card, rolls need to be at twice the face value before being applicable on the privilege program, the loonies puck are at face value also. Only the prooflike olympîc was eligible.

Sounia.
I was absolutely livid. First off, how is a loonie puck face value? I paid $14 for a $1 coin in a puck. How can a store advertise something that clearly says "All coins, except gold and bullion, receive 10% in points" and then turn around and throw exceptions at the customer after the fact/purchase.
Should I make a fuss?
Gatewest and Colonial Acres all the way from now on...they are cheaper and the shipping way cheaper. I thought Imaginaire's "non-existant" points system would make up the difference.
