hi,
a friend gave me this set of coins because I have done some favors for him. I have no intention of selling this set I plan on hanging it in my coin/stamps room but I am curious of its value as I primarily collect canadian coins and I have no idea the value. is it worth more framed like this? it kinda reminds me of something you might buy from the shopping channel.
thanks for your input

If that present were to be give to me, I would value it very highly indeed, irrespective of the coins contained therein; I would never sell it, and it WOULD be on display.

Numismatically, all of the coins would need to be in pristine, or almost pristine condition, to have great value, unless they had scarce or rare dates.

Presuming all the silver coins are WWII dates, nothing after 1945, maybe $30 worth of coinage there to a novice collector. Myself, it's worth more as a gift and something to definitely hang on the wall. The stamps are worth about 5 cents each, if they aren't glued to the backing.

Nice gift !
