Why would you want a grade on a bullion piece?

Im not trying to sell it, I am only trying to get a feel for grading. So when I look through my coins I can get a rough idea in my own head what certain grades should look like.

Well first, the nomenclature. Not a " Walking Liberty Silver Dollar, an American Silver Eagle.

Looks a little gouged and scratched, I would say MS 66

Generally bullion coins, unless new out of the tube, are not graded. Any thing under MS 69 is just worth spot price.

Thank You Denco7 for the info.

So would it best if I post 3 different us quarters that seem to me to look from bad to good and then explain briefly that I am just trying to get a feel and understanding of how the grading system looks ?

This is what I would do. Take your quarters and go HERE, compare your coins with the photos and determine a grade yourself.

Then post pictures in this forum explaining that you are trying to get a feel for grading coins and that you think these coins grade at ___________,. What do others think ? If you show the effort, people here are more than willing to help.
