left to right, just as you would read English numbers!

But seriously, if you have a Krause catalog, they should still have all the different numbers in foreign scripts.

Best as I can decipher, the number is 1541367 (but don't ask me what the prefix letters are!)

If you haven't got either a Krause or Pick catalogue, try this Wikipedia page - it has a table of Bengali numerals, but the font needs a bit of magnification to read it (on my browser, anyway).

If I'm reading the system right, the prefix letters letters are "ko" and "ku"; the number looks like looks like "1841397" to me.

In my 2002 Pick, the number is given as "P# 35, formerly 36". See my note in the other thread about the frequency of Pick renumeration.

G'day Mila_cent,
you may be interested to know that the 10 Taka was the first polymer note issued by Bangladesh, in 2000. It is printed by Note Printing Australia, based in Melbourne, which pioneered polymer banknotes.

Very nice note, Mila_cent! I have not bought a single note yet, but I find myself looking at them now. Since joining this forum, I find myself looking at all kinds of things I didn't notice before. Three Cent Nickels, for example. I learn something new everyday, or gain an appreciation for something new. Thanks for posting it!
