Thought I would share with those interested,
A rare North Dakota National Bank Note I discovered on my recent trip to the frozen climes of ND.
It is a Type 1, $20 Note drawn On Charter 10966 Van Hook, North Dakota.
This note is unrecorded. There is only one other $20 Note
known on this Charter. There are still exciting notes to discover! "Seek and ye shall find."
I have been fortunate enough to find many rare nationals in the last year. Hard work pays off!!
KEEP SEARCHING!!

Rest in Peace

Local bullion dealer in town has a Pendleton Oregon $20. No idea on rarity or value, but they certainly are facisnating!

Congrats rlw. The Kelly census CD that came with my NBN 6th edition lists 14 large, 2 small. The small were $10 type 1's.

Hmmm I forget the specifics but didn't Lyn Knight auction someone's collection of North Dakota national banknotes in 2013?

I'm from ND and had to google Van Hook. It's an underwater ghost town on the north side of Lake Sakakawea. Now it's in the heart of the Bakken Oilfield. Could probably use a bank there now.

Yes that collection was without question the top North Dakota National bank Note Collection.
Belonged to a dealer/collector from Devils Lake, North Dakota. (you cannot mention names on here).
That collection will never be topped!

CGCOINS,
There are two Pendleton Charters, 2630 and 9228.
The $20 notes book at $500 each in fine grade from either charter.
A semi-rare note. If I was an Oregon collector, I would snag that one up if the price is fair.
