I am looking for a flat clinch stapler. I bought one from Staples a Swingline, it was $16 and didn't last a day
They tried to sell me a smaller version that uses only specialized staples - not what I am looking for.
Can you recommend a good Flat Clinch Stapler and where to get it.
No I do not want a $300 electric one. I also do not want a mini one.
All other recommendations will be reviewed Thanks. rggoodie aka Richard "catch em doing something right"

I bought a Leitz a few years ago and found I still had to flatten the staples with pliers, so I can't recommend that brand.

Max. Best brand I can recommend, and fairly priced. $10-20 on ebay.

I too had a mini couldn't stand it, my hands are large and after a few staples it just hurt using it, I went with a Max or almost identical (not sure if mine is the same) but it looks like it, I got it off ebay works great, no issues some 2000 staples through it. Guess I'll see after 10K which is where they seem to start failing, unfortunately nothing today is really made like they used to. But the Max shape is very comfortable to hold and use, the staples are cheap. When searching ebay try Flat Clinch Stapler HD50 that is the Max model, yes there are cheaper ones but these are all metal and rubber for ergonomics. I love mine, and wish I had bought it years ago!

I bought a Staples One Touch for around $12 and it has lasted me nearly 5 years now. It works great for me. Never , ever buy Swingline, they are garbage.

I got a no-name "Made in China" from wally-mart, cheap. Still gotta crimp them but heck I use the needle nose pair I use for ripping rolls open with.

Thanks for all of your feed back. I think I will purchase a Max for home use but for office use I just purchased this beast http://alturl.com/8bnm4Once it arrives I will let you know how good it is cost more but I can use it at work. Is uses a heavier duty staple but it also uses a standard staple. I spoke with the manufacturer and they told me that using standard staples voids the warranty because they have a tendency to jamb. Report to follow once item arrives
