I compared my coin to the one on Wexler's and I think they look pretty close other than the wavy steps.

On Wexler's site he talks about "A spread towards the rim shows on ONE CENT". Where I have the orange arrows, wouldn't that be what he is referring to ?

Looks like your coin took a hit on the obverse on the beard. It may have bent your coin making it appear that the steps are not straight. But on a wavy step the distortion is seen differently. Not was the steps not appearing straight, but usually distorted under the left or right side of the columns bases.
Note on this one the distortion is on the right side of the columns base:

Most of the time the distortion is seen on the left side of the columns base:

These are not doubled dies as they don't copy a pattern that is on the hub, but are connected with the trails dies as it is on the die, but doesn't match the hub. Hope this helps.

As always Coop, Great Eye...

Thank You for looking at it.

Looking at the overlay, the marks on the neck are not the cause.

But the marks you are seeing on your coin are contact marks on the coin, coin damage from other coin hitting your coin. The are spit out of the machine at a fast pace. But some years do have uneven design on the steps. The best way to tell if it is common for that year, is to look at other examples. See if they have the uneven steps. On the wavy steps they are pretty much distorted under the columns.
