Authenticity-And-Grade-Of-A-1946-Dollar?
Authenticity-And-Grade-Of-A-1946-Dollar?

I have a sneaking suspicion that this one is a fake. Mainly because of a the color which implies a cast copy or possibly just a cleaned coin. I asked the seller about the weight and diameter and he says 36mm and 23.3g. Which again makes n me suspicious because a coin of this grade should not be a full 23.3g. Then again maybe if his scale only measures to 1 decimal places then it may round a weight of say 23.265 to 23.3g? Thoughts?

23.3 grams is well within range.
Doesn't look cast, just washed out.

Just heavily worn, still worth melt value....does it pass the silver test? A bright ringing sound when dropped on hard surface, as opposed to a dull sound when you drop a nickel dollar?

Can anyone tell me if this is a SWL or not or is it too hard to tell from the pictures?

Hard to tell from those pics. If any of the waterlines touch the canoe, it's FWL.
