This is one of many world coins that I've picked out of the registers at the convenience store I work at, I bought it out of the drawer for a quarter months ago and thought nothing of it. Until today that is, when I started cataloging the jar of world coins I've acquired that way, and found that I apparently have a one-year type coin?

Yes I think you are right. KM#16 mintage 4,000,000 F $6.50 VF $12.50.
Personally I wouldn't grade it higher F but a nice find.
