1882 3CN - Overdate? - Coin Community Forum

Vaslin Pillar of the Community United States 914 Posts	Posted 07/16/2007 12:55 pm Someone on this forum got me addicted to 3 cent nickles!! Grrr!! I just bought this coin at a coin show here in Palm Beach, FL. The vendor said it was a 1882 overdate, but I cannot find out any information about it. There are no entries in the CherryPicker's guide for this date. The 2 is clearly on something, and is mounded up when seen. But I cannot figure out what it can be. Does anyone have any knowledge of this coin? Thanks! Report this Post to the Staff

hunter20ga Pillar of the Community United States 1173 Posts	Posted 07/16/2007 1:40 pm The Cherrypicker's Guide tends to be very incomplete on all the different varieties out there, so just because this possible overdate isn't in there doesn't mean a lot.
