I decided to CRH some quarter rolls ( I mainly do Halves and Pennies.) So I went to the local bank and got 4 Customer Wrapped Rolls.I found 2 Vicksburg p and d, 2 hot springs 2010 P,1 grand canyon P mint, 1 mount Rushmore P mint, 1 Denali P mint, 1 Olympic park p mint and 1 Fort McHenry P mint. I also found 1 1999 Georgia State Quarter S mint mark, Unfortunately it shows signs of circulation and has some discoloration but Still a cool find... Makes me wonder how these proof coins get into circulation

Some people honestly don't have any idea what a mint mark is or that S mints aren't meant for circulation. obviously they don't want to collect ATB's either...

I suspect we all have a coin or two that isn't worth a great deal but if spent and found by another collector, would be a delightful find. As I've read here and elsewhere, some collectors will spend a 'tainted' proof coin for the heck of it to be later gobbled up by another collector. It is a hoot to find something that 'just shouldn't be there'. I've found two proof coins in circulation, a nickel and a quarter, that have the combined numismatic value of $0.30. But I have both neatly squirreled away for the fun factor of it all.

Sounds like a productive quarter haul. I've been meaning to get the National Parks binder and this might have been the incentive I needed. Enjoy the proof coin!!

Heirs and thieves. Neither realize what they have, they only see money.
