I never really started looking at serial numbers until very recently because bills weren't really that interesting to me until I started looking a bit more closely. Unfortunately, this radar's not in the best of shape, but thought I would share anyway! It's been folded a few times into 4, right corner crease, rip through Canada on the left border.. Is there any point in trying to list it for auction?

It wouldn't sell for much over face value, but it's a nice find.

It's a radar repeater... given the condition it wouldn't sell for that much.... there's one seller right now that is selling off his collection of radars.. (over 300 notes) and those are all UNCs so I think the market would be more driven towards those kinds of notes given the options...

Nice note though... keep it as a momento of your first find...

Maybe I will post it for auction. Perhaps those that can't afford an UNC will bid on my offering. I'll start it at 19.99 and if it goes for that, I will only lose a bit due to fees. I don't collect them, so may as well make someone else happy.

Why would you put up anything if you may end up taking a loss?

Post it locally... or the buy sell trade forum here... there's no point taking a loss... There's the fees to ebay and pay pal.. there's the cost of the envelope and stamp and your method of transport to the post office.. as well as your time.

Not worth it my friend... in my opinion... if you don't want it you're better off just spending it and SAVE you the grief as well as the fees..

Persistnt... I'm not sure I can put the sellers name in this forum.. but if you or anyone else send me a PM I will let you know... I haven't bought off of this seller yet.. I have made some bids but there's some pretty aggressive bidding that goes on with his auctions..

Thanks for the advice, Ag. I have taken chances in the past and if someone ends up getting a good deal, they usually come back as regular bidders on other items, a small investment. I haven't tried the buy-sell area here. Do you find it to be active?
Thanks

I have never used it.. I have used the trading post on another web site that deals pretty much with just canadian paper money... but not this one....

I do more buying than selling... but at the last auction guide I saw... I have contemplated selling the whole lot to try and get enough to bid on just one single item...

I honestly don't see myself selling anything I have purchased for at least another 20 years unless I have to liquidate...

that bill is not worth more than face value torgemco. Sorry :(

had those 66 been 91 instead, then it would have been worth a bit more as a 2 digit radar/repeater
