I picked this 1897 Morgan up recently and have discovered that it has doubled stars and the cap looks to be doubled but not as obvious as the stars. Is this a VAM-8 Top 50 or is it another VAM that I am not familiar with? I would also like some opinions of grade too. I am really not used to Morgans yet, but they are becoming one of my favorites and I love learning more about them. Thanks for the help!

Looks like the Vam-8 to me. Appears to have minimal circulation marks for an AU58 grade. No premium for this variety that amounts to anything. Good catch. nlp
Rest in Peace

It sure looks like a VAM8 and appears to be AU55/58.
