VG8 Looks like there's still some green PVC slime. Clean it with acetone before it does further damage.

ty for all the replies and help, should I put it in acetone to soak until the green lifts or does it need to be persuaded with q-tip rub as well?

A few seconds will do, q-tip won't hurt at this point, then a quick rinse in clean acetone.
