Looks somewhere around a vg-8 to vg-10. Not sure about the value

I have to disagree.
It looks XF details, cleaned.

In XF that coin is ~$200. Great buy for a full horn tough date.

EF Details, harshly cleaned. Someone scrubbed the dark off of it. That is a nice score.

Nice fine. Wish I would stumble on a coin like that. Do you mind sharing where you got it from?

I hate to be the one to stir up a hornets nest... but the date seems 'Wrong'

It looks like the 19 is lower than the 23, seems like it might have been re-tooled to show the date better, or even changed the date.

I asked at my LCS the other day and their prices are $1.00 for a full date, $0.75 for a partial date and $0.50 for a worn date... then I went home and got a 1937 full date out of a roll

If that is genuine then $2.00 is a good price, and since no one else saw anything wrong with the date it might be real, but still it just looks off somehow to me.

I found it in a dealers album in South Australia.

The picture does seem to distort the date but in hand it is straight just like my other Buffalo nickel dates.

Thanks for all of your help with grading this coin.

I was thinking it might be just the picture, especially since no one else said anything about it

I did a little comparison with a 1923-P of mine. I don't suspect anything wrong with the date.
