First, I am aware that this coin has ALOT of PMD but I am still learning and will be for ever I would hope.

I believe that this is a Large date 1960 D. It has what I think are die chips in both the 9 in the date and the R in the Liberty.

I tried to identify it with CopperCoins for the heck of it, more for practice if anything else but there is too much damage for me to do it.

Take a look;

Now the question about the doubling, is it doubling I see in the 9 as well as the chip ? Also, in the word Liberty the 'BERTY ' seem thicker and Taller the ' LI 'when I look at it.

There is a lot of what I think is Machine Doubling around the bust and in the ' E ' in we in the motto as well.

I really wish it was in better shape.

Any answers or help ?

Thank you in advance.

If you are referring the the tip of the 9 that is Machine Doubling. The R and the inside of the Nine are die chips from an LDS (Late Die Stage) or plainly ...really old die.

And thank you for you comment about the close ups ! I've been trying to figure out how best to use this and hopefully will improve even more.
