I have seen coins described as having "Rainbow Toning" but none of them looked like this one. I do have to admit that I can see the rainbow!

Sorry, I'm not getting the point/meaning behind this message? Are you being sarcastic? Or really identifying Rainbow toning?
Because this is what real rainbow toning looks like:

Im guessing this was tongue in cheek since it looks like someone literally drew a rainbow on it?

Basebal21: You got it!
When I saw the title of the ebay auction I thought I would have a look. All I could find for toning was the dark arch in the field. Arched kind of like a rainbow. Figured that must be it!

zxcccxz: That is a beautiful dime! Thanks for posting that photo. A part of me also wonders if the coin's seller is being humorous or if he seriously thinks the dark arch is "rainbow" toning.

Since the seller said, "rainbowing tone," he might actually be referring to the arch. Doesn't seem to be very experienced

14ers if you don't mind me asking what is the meaning behind your screen name? I only ask because I am actively climbing the 14,000 foot peaks in Colorado, known as the "14ers". Sorry for the off topic post.

Hi Thunder!
I don't mind the question at all. For the past few years I have been actively climbing the 14,000 foot peaks in Colorado, known as the "14ers". I chose a non-numismatic screen name because I do have other interests that I pursue. Is there a way to swap email addresses other than posting it right here? We could branch out into a 14ers conversation.

Best to exchange addresses off board by emailing each other.
If the poster has not switched "receive email" to on a simple request to do so often works.
I have contacted several members this way.
