WOW, this is an absolutely stunning wheat ! I took the best pictures I could of this coin when I found it. I would grade the coin at M64+ or even an MS65? Great strike, perfect luster, and amazing eye appeal!

You CHR'ers have too much fun finding this stuff...WOW! Was this a roll of unsearched wheats?
The cents are hard for me to grade though...I just don't see any sign of wear or flattening in the typical places on a cent. The Strike on the obverse seems a bit mushy to me, so maybe that's the wear I'm not picking up on. I don't see any break in the luster though. The rim looks ticked in several places, and I see several dings on the obverse, one between the bottom point of his cheek and corner of his mouth, then several other little ones on Lincolin's jacket. On the reverse I see some minor marks on the left wheat stalk and a couple of light scratches between the C in cent and the left wheat stalk.
Not an authority on Lincolns at all though, an will probably get quit the education on this when BadThad weighs in, but I would think that it has to go at least MS60.
Either way NICE coin for begin found in a roll.

OK so after consulting PCGS photograde I wonder if its higher maybe around MS62...I'll shut up now and wait for the ones who know their stuff on LWC.

There is too much reflection on the high points of the coin that makes grading impossible.

Quote: BadThad, I'm hear to learn man...these are hard for me to grade. It's an MS coin, somewhere around 63-65 but the pictures aren't good enough to be accurate. I just find it very difficult to believe that a potentially such a rare and VERY valuable coin could be "found in a roll".

Looking through ebay found ones that look just like that for around a grand, wow. I wish I could I could find rolls of pennies like that. I find some nice ones but I get the rolls from my mom. We started back in the sixties putting all our pennies in five gallon glass jars, I still have one and a half left to search. I have only gone through about half of one jar because she mails them to me from Wisconsin. A lot of mint marks.
