Ran across this penny that caught my eye. This is an error not a variety such as doubling is it? Grease strike I thought except for the fact that the extra lines appear and its hard to focus. New at this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, the doubling you see on this coin is caused by a worn out die ( Die Deterioration). It's pretty common, and not worth any additional value, although they do look pretty neat. It usually affects the outer devices first, which is why LIB looks doubled. The same sort of problem caused the so called 1955 "poor-mans doubled die".
