I was going through some change of my dads, from the early 1900's, when I came across a 1916 Penny. It is pretty beat up, but has odd indention's that are on both side of coin. It is a misprint, not done by something gripping it.

What can anyone tell me about it.

Here is a pic of the back. See on the Wheat on the left side, how the die runs together. Help any?

Not an error. As LincolnGuy said, the damage was done then the coin circulated wearing the high spots into the rest of the coin.

It looks like PMD to me also. I also noticed that your white balance is a bit off.

PMD definitely, looks like some one took a pair of pliers to it which is why the indents are right across from each other. You can also see how the metal was pushed inwards and than warn away.
Feel free to call me Will.
