As good as a new bag of Ikes (almost)
In the spirit of sharing with my CCF brethren.
I called first, to my LCD, and ask if he sold Error Ikes?
He acted-sounded a little "funny," on the phone.
In truth, this is a "high dollar" store front, and modern coins were
not in the store, for sale. They did have some slabbed 1964
Kennedy half dollars.
Modern Errors are a growing area.
Turns out he had a tube (about 350-400) of Ikes.
He let me cull them.
I bought 36 coins for $1.10 a piece.
Got Eighteen 1972 (P) Type 1 and Type 3. Two or three will make MS.
Got Thirteen 1976 (D) Type 1. More than one will make MS.
Got five, (thought to be GREASE-STRIKE-ANNEALING-CUD-LAMINATION-BREAK THROUGH etc.)
One was
PMD. Four, I am still looking at.Net result is I found a new DUMP for my Ikes. And a new way to cherry pick my IKES, without paying $1,000 for a bag.
Naturally, I did purchase some coins supplies ... to make it worth his time.
I want to take this time to say Thanks to CCF and all.
