Just found this 1983 Kennedy. It looks to be at least 1/3-1/2 taller than the average sized half and the front looks broadstruck/off center. Whatcha think?

Are those usually thicker? Is it worth keeping?

Looks like a misaligned die. I have never heard of 'finned rim', BUT, I'm new as well.

I'm sure someone will be around to explain though.

Weight it.It should weight normal. It isn't really any thicker just looks that way because of the wider looking edge.Rim finning is caused by too much pressure being applied during striking. Is it worth keeping?I would but there is little to no premium.

On the first image the upper coin shows the reeding. Note how the fin is wider than the reeding? There is where it was not contained in the collar creating the fin. (raised area on the rim.)
Also on the first image:
The second coin is thinner in the area turned to show thickness. On the left side you can see the normal height of the rim.
