I've started roll searching and now I'm addicted! However, I've started to exhaust the supply of coin wraps that I got at a local dollar store and the ones we had at home already. So, where do you get your coin wraps? Do you just pick them up at the bank or is there a good place to find them online (hopefully not for a ton of money)?

Most banks will give them to you, but if you do start asking for 2 many quite often they will start charging you. (if you need a lot of them and have the time just go to a few different of your banks and they will have no clue that you just got some at other banks too)

http://www.twist-n-crimp.com/ I get mine <here. I think I pay around $25.00 for 1000 cent rolls. they are easy to use and some would say too expensive but to each their own I say. it works for me and the banks don't give me trouble anymore when I bring them box's of cents. most of the time with them dollar store rolls you cant crimp them very well and they have to check each roll lol man they hate that some even started telling me they had no more room for them so I could not cash them in. but lately after the crimping tool and white rolls came out I have had zero trouble getting rid of them. DO NOT WORRY about the cost on the site. call the number and ask for what you want you will get a better deal Gary

As an alternative you may try this.. Check the banks in your area. At least one of them will probably have a coin counting machine in their lobby that can be used at no charge to members. Open an account and a large coffee can becomes the only roll you ever need! Ziggy

No banks near me give away wrappers any more. They're becoming a thing of the past due to the automatic counting machines that they let you use (for free if you belong to that bank).

I wish we had the coin counting machines here. I get my wrappers from the bank, as I've got a very good relationship with the tellers at two nearby banks. They know exactly what I do when I buy rolls and have no problem selling them to me, or buying them from me. So, I guess my advice is, develop a relationship and be courteous, and you just may find a teller who will help you out.

They don't give away wrappers here any more simply because they don't have them any more. It's becomine a niche item to have. The counters have taken over.

The local dollar store sells a big bag full of them for, well, a dollar. I've also seen Walmart sell bags full of wraps.

get them from the bank, especially if you're box searching b/c you'll need alot of wraps to get them back to the bank. Luckily, my brother works for a bank in IT, though he's worthless to ask for nice coins, but he does help me get wraps whenever I need them which saves me a HUGE headache. Now if only he would search through all that money for me :)

Being able to search threw all the money is the main reason I went and got a job at a bank. Everyone else at my work always teases me cause I'm always opening rolls and rolls of coins all day long. It's like they are paying me to play with money.

Well most dollar type stores have 36 count wrapers of course for the $1. Most of time you can't just find pennies or quarters. Which is ok with me as I search everything. Walmart will sell 48 counts of pennies, quarters, or mix for $1.55. I'm looking for one of the coin counting machines but so far none of the banks I go to have them. Plus, I don't trust them as I have a $150 coin sort / count machine that still will miss some coins. Look for sales at various office stores also. Or if someone is closing up shop they may have a ton of stuff for sale/auction that is very cheap.

RE-use, the rolls that you get the coins in.yes i'am frugal, but also I save in not wasting time ;(in not having to open the(other) new rolls up.)simply unroll the "crimped up" white -N- red stripped N.F STRING & SON,INC.'s,rolls. starting at the over lapped seam I just go around the inner circle 'crimped end'. the crimps are more accurately 'rolled in' ends. so the 'trick' is unroll 'em'.the re-rolling is just as it sounds i'll either do it by hand or one of those twist type "crimppers". "waste not : want not". I've even (a few times)reloaded and resealed the boxes. tellers at that point, have only have stood there shaking their heads a little, whilst 'aving me repeat my request; of wanting an "exchange" my full sealed box, for one of theirs.this sometimes removes the 'bumps until the teller gets to know what I'm up too.many banks, many tellars, lots 0 rolls.
