http://www.ancientresource.com/lots...enetian.html This link shows your coin, with a near match. I would be inclined to think the difference in numerals is either representative of a date-(numerals) or maybe a mint mark.

The two letters on the platform on which the figure of Christ is standing seem to be the initials of Venetian provincial governors (or other officials, or prelates of the church) who were responsible for a particular issue of coins. For instance, a V O stood for Vincenzo Orio, the Venetian governor of Dalmatia.
On this Italian numismatic circular, names are given to each coin's initials; with a question mark if it's not 100% certain. Your coin is #315, a silver mocenigo (or lira) of Gritti, with initials BK. Unfortunately, it's the only coin on the list where they didn't give a name for the initials! Sorry!

Wait! Found some references that identify BK as the initials of Bernardino da Canal, mint assayer from March 10 1525 to August 30 1525.

I think that it's as sure as a dated coin. Sure enough, I believe, for the rules of the "How far back can we go?" thread, where I hope you'll post it!
